Hence this slab of bacon.

Most would feel a little unease upon purchasing a pound of slab bacon, for their own personal consumption.  While, yes, I considered the consequences of a pound of bacon, most of the images and scenarios I imagined were not of heart attacks, clogged arteries, or of cute little piggies.  But mostly, my thoughts were dominated by bacon-grilled cheese, bacon salad, bacon, bacon, bacon.

Unhealthy obsession?  Probably.  But really.  Salade Lyonnaise to start, followed by a week or so of slab bacon creations.
